A new official link has been introduced for the BDG Reservation System, providing a secure, fast, and reliable connection.
To address the concern about unauthorized editing or cancellation of reservations,
Introducing a new added PIN-based restrictionβa simple yet effective solution to ensure that only the person who made a reservation can manage it. Heres how it works: 1. PIN Protection: Each reservation is now tied to a unique Personal Identification Number (PIN). Only the original
reserver can edit or cancel their booking by entering this PIN, ensuring that control remains with the rightful owner. 2. Default PIN for Easy Access: To make things easy, each user has assigned a default PIN, which is their Employee ID. This makes it simple to remember and quick to use. 3. Optional PIN Customization: For those who prefer enhanced security, users will have the option to change their default PIN at any time. 4. Respect for Ownership and Flexibility: If someone other than the original reserver needs to modify a booking, they must first seek approval from the person who made the reservation.
This respects ownership while still allowing flexibility when needed.
System Users Exclusivity: The "Reserved By" field now contains a dropdown list with a pre-defined list of authorized users. 1. Only users included in this list can book, view, edit, or cancel reservations in the system. This helps prevent unauthorized changes and ensures that only verified users are interacting with the reservation system. 2. This change also supports the newly introduced PIN-based restrictions for editing or canceling reservations. Since only approved users are in the system, the PIN validation can be tied directly to individuals
in the dropdown list, adding another layer of protection. If anyone who should have access is missing, let Jayson know so he can add them to the pre-defined list.π
Quick Search for Names: To speed up the reservation process, users can search for their names directly within the dropdown instead of scrolling through the full list.
This makes it easier and quicker for frequent users to make bookings.
